Which is why I started to collect a list of my favorite places around the web to do so.
And when I posted this on Facebook, people were not only psyched to see the resource BUT were also clamouring to help!

My Favorite Places to’ Find 100% Free Premium Stock Photos
Here’s my current list of favorite places to find 100% free (even royalty-free) high quality photos to use for your website, blog & other commercial uses:
- Pixabay – http://pixabay.com/
- Unrestricked Stock – http://unrestrictedstock.com/
- From Hubspot – http://offers.hubspot.com/free-stock-photos
- Unsplash – http://unsplash.com/
- And this one looks promising – http://join.deathtothestockphoto.com/
I used to use http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/ but they’ve recently switched things up so you now have to navigate a confusing Bing Images search to find what you’re looking for so it no longer makes my list.
My requirements for making this list are that the photos…
- are decidedly not-sucky (for the most part)
- don’t cost a dime
- need no credit attached to their use
Disclaimer
Again, let me warn you that you need to read the terms of these sites carefully especially when using these images for commercial use (ie for your business). I am NOT a lawyer, but I do not think sites like these always have proper clearances from, say, the model in the photo for you to use her image for your business.
